Deal For 31 Fire Boss Cemented with Air Tractor Europe

Fire Boss is pleased to announce the order for 31 Fire Boss from Air Tractor Europe [ATE] was closed during the recent Aerial Firefighting conference in Athens, Greece. This agreement marks a significant milestone for Air Tractor Europe; it is their largest order to date. Delivery will be spread through 2024 – 2026.

 “We are thrilled to announce our contract for 31 Fire Boss. In addition to this multi-year order, ATE has purchased over 80 sets of floats for the European market,” said Vicente Huerta, President of Air Tractor Europe. “As we look ahead, the threat of wildfires is year-round. It is vital we create a fleet that can support our new reality.”

Fire Boss Confirms the Sale of Two Sets of Floats in Australia

Fire Boss is pleased to announce the sale of two sets of floats to R&M Aircraft Pty.Ltd., a long-standing customer based in New South Wales.

“We’ve flown thousands of hours in our first Fire Boss, scooping water and providing initial attack support for bush fires, and it’s time to expand our capabilities and grow our business” said Director and Chief Pilot, Justin Mace. “This system’s reliability gave us the confidence to acquire two more which will go into operation this year.”

R&M Aircraft is a family owned and operated fixed-wing Aerial Fire Fighting business servicing New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania since 1970. They began operating with a Fire Boss in 2009 to compliment their existing fleet. “It’s an outstanding performer that is changing the initial attack response within the industry. The success in the field is validated every time a customer makes another purchase” said Stephen Johnson, Director of Global Sales for Fire Boss LLC.

With Record Q1 Sales, Fire Boss Makes Australian Debut at Avalon Airshow

South St. Paul, Minnesota, February 26, 2019

For the first time, the Fire Boss will be on display in Australia at the Avalon Airshow. “In the middle of a record quarter of sales within Australia, we are excited to exhibit at the Avalon Airshow” said Stephen Johnson, Global Director of Sales, “This is a show of support to our customers and an opportunity to promote the capabilities and successes of the Fire Boss. This season, Fire Boss operators have flown hundreds of hours fighting fires throughout Australia. Reinforcing the capabilities of the product, a sales record of three new Fire Boss have been confirmed sold to operators in Australia. This positions them to support fire suppression efforts across the Pacific Rim.”

Built from an Air Tractor 802F, the Fire Boss is an initial attack firefighting aircraft with scooping capability. Setting it apart from larger and more expensive alternatives, this aircraft can scoop water from nearby lakes and rivers. It also has proven dispatch reliability, increasing revenue for operators while saving lives and property. The Fire Boss on display at Booth #EW1 at Avalon Airshow is owned by Kennedy Air, based in New South Wales.
